Food was so great! Amazing oyster options and very fresh, crab cake was one of the best I have had. I was a bit disappointed with the cerviche and the drinks. Service was ok... not the friendliest. Great location, right on the water

VERY impressed they had our table ready outside at 8:15pm ON TIME, after the cherry blossom festival and post fireworks, plus what appeared to be thousands of people at the wharf !! Servers were lovely / attentive / engaged despite probably being exhausted - food was impressively fresh and fast, we wish y'all were still in cap hill! Always a solid option and variety for all! Honestly only dinging a star for portion size. My steak and fries were delish, but for $37 slightly smaller than I would have hoped. But delish!

Some really amazing oysters at Hank's. Cute bar by the wharf. We ordered half a dozen of both the salty wolfe and sea stone. The salty wolfe was definitely our favorite of the 2 with much bolder flavor. The bloody mary shooter was fun and the crab cake was alright. However, the service was really frustrating at times. We had to ask for our water multiple times, our oyster platter came out with no forks nor lemons, and we had to wait forever to close out our tab. Besides that Hanks's is still worth visiting for the amazing fresh oysters.

We enjoyed some delicious crab dip and fried calamari while gazing out at the view of the waterfront. The service was good. The seafood was fresh. We sipped on some beers and had a great time at Hank's.

The grilled branzino is a real highlight. Done just perfectly and it was delicious. Ceviche with chips was a very nice appetizer. We also tried the grilled octopus appetizer. That chocolate mousse came with lots of fruit on top, a unique presentation. Service was really great. Never under-staffed like other places. Many waitstaff members topped by to ask how everything was, to say hi, to take plates away, to take order. Smooth, friendly, cheerful, and efficient. Hank's Oyster Bar at the Wharf is pretty nice with water view (compared to their Dupont Circle location), though if you are seated outside (the extension with heaters above) you could hear loud airplane noises coming from across the Potomac. Inside wasn't better, because it was very noisy due to music and the architecture. However, I still gave them five stars mostly on service and food quality.

I don't know why the rating is so low considering how yummy the oysters and seafood are. Service was definitely so so but because they were so busy that it felt like it was a big rushed. They give each table some goldfish crackers to start, which is really cute. We tried out all their oysters to find the best one that fit our palette along with some white wine. It was a fantastic way to start the night along with some steamed mussel before we head over to our actual dinner. I didn't try their main entrees, but the raw oysters was very fresh and umani-filled.
